Healdsburg Dance Collective: MOSAIC 2025

Healdsburg Dance Collective (HDC) announces its third annual show, MOSAIC, with live dance performances by UPside Dance Company, dance films from SF Dance Film Festival, and live music with popular local Americana band Mr. December, all followed by a dance party on the Raven stage with DJ Glitterfox. 

Family Night on Friday features an abbreviated early evening show with live dance performances and dance films. Saturday’s dance party show features live dance performances, dance films, live music and dancing with local band Mr. December, followed by a dance party on stage with DJ Glitterfox.

UPside Dance Company will present two expanded stage adaptations of pieces created throughout the year for site-specific commissions. Artistic Director Tanya Knippelmeir says, “Bringing these works to the stage will allow them to bloom into the expanded, fully realized form as I’d always envisioned them. Having a stage like The Raven to present locally crafted professional contemporary dance is a huge asset to this community. We want to be sure dance is better represented among Healdsburg’s many artistic offerings.”

Healdsburg Dance Collective (HDC) is a local dance advocacy organization serving as a  central hub for all things dance in our community. HDC produces performances featuring local professional dance companies and invited artists, and supports a thriving dance program for youth and adults, offering scholarships so everyone can participate. HDC seeks out new teachers and subsidizes space rental to launch new classes, and hosts a community calendar listing all dance activities happening in town. Founded in 2023 by four local dance professionals, this new arts organization has gathered momentum quickly and looks forward to expanding community support through a partnership with local fiscal sponsor, The Launch Pad Foundation.
