Owners Nez Tokugawa and Tai Tokugawa (Nez’s daughter) are longtime supporters of both the Raven and the HISFF, offering a variety of promotions and fundraisers benefiting the theater over the years, and more recently providing the prize money for the various categories in the festival. They started the restaurant with Nez’s late wife, Donna, who was a passionate supporter of the performing arts; Nez and Tai honor her by continuing to support the Raven, the HISFF, and other arts organizations.

The Taste of Tea uses authentic family recipes to create the best ramen in Sonoma County and offers many other dishes besides: gyoza (Osaka-style dumplings crispy on one side and steamed on the other), Japanese salads, noodle and rice bowls including yakitori, donburi, sweet Japanese curry, and so much more. Watch the short video about the Tokugawa family and The Taste of Tea on their website, and join us for delicious food over the HISFF weekend (for 20% off)!
