About the Raven Players

The Raven Players is the resident theater company of the Raven Performing Arts Theater.

The Raven Players company is committed to keeping our doors – and arms – open to embrace the eclectic members of our community, not only by producing consistently high quality works, but also by inviting you to be a vital part of this ongoing, evolving, exciting process.

We strive to create an inclusive gathering place for the community; a place where we share great stories well told. We will take risks. We will challenge and provoke. But we will always entertain, as we engage our audiences on an emotional level – a personal connection unique to live theatre. You may not care for a particular show, you may disagree with the casting or the script itself, but our promise is that each Raven Players production will be crafted with passion, professionalism, integrity and respect for you, the most important members of our theater family.

The Raven Players is your company – a theater of, by, and for the community.

Raven Players Artistic Director

Steven David Martin became Artistic Director for the Raven Players in the fall of 2013, lending an influence to the remaining 2013-2014 season while preparing an exciting new season for the Players that includes the addition of the Raven Theater Windsor venue. Steven has been an integral member of the Raven family for years; as Marketing Director at the Raven inception, and directing and performing in several plays over the years. Steven's goal is that the Players' upcoming events will be "often unexpected, always intriguing, never dull."

Steven has spent more than 15 years in professional theater, working as an actor and director in theatres from Ashland, Oregon to Edinburgh, Scotland and a great many in between. He also has been a teacher, writer and voice over artist. He lives in Healdsburg with his better half, four kids, four fish, two dogs, a cat and a chinchilla.
