Frequently Asked Questions

How can I purchase tickets for Raven events?

We have no permanent box office staff. However, there are several ways to purchase tickets in advance. Copperfield’s Book Store, on the Healdsburg plaza, sells tickets for Raven Theater-produced and Raven Players events. The store does not accept credit cards for ticket sales; you can use cash or a check (made payable to H-PAT or Raven Performing Arts Theater) Events offered by outside promoters may sell tickets through other outlets; those outlets are noted on the event calendar of this website. Usually tickets are available beginning a month before the event. Online, tickets can be purchased by credit card from a link on the individual event description. Tickets at the box office are available the day of performance, generally 1 ½ hours before the start of the event.

Can I purchase tickets with a credit card at the box office?

No! We aren’t set up for credit cards yet at our box office. You can use your credit card online from a link on the individual event description, or, for Raven Players shows, by calling the theater number (707-431-7790 ext. 11) and leaving your name and number for a call-back. Our box office takes either cash or check (made payable to H-PAT or Raven Performing Arts Theater).

Do you have reserved seating? How can I make sure I get a seat in a section I prefer?

Presently we do not use reserved seating. Some events, such as the Healdsburg Jazz Festival that rents the theater for the first week in June, block off the front rows for a premium ticket, but most events are open seating on a first-come basis. To assure a specific area of the theater, you need to arrive when the doors open.

Do you have ticket discounts for seniors?

That would be up to the individual promoter to decide. The Raven Players, for example, sell tickets to students and seniors at a substantial discount.

Where can I park?

Directly across the street from the theater is a small strip mall that has parking space in the evening. One block west of Healdsburg Ave (1 ½ blocks from the theater) is a large city parking lot. Around the corner on Center St. is a larger strip mall where there may be spaces.

What is your relationship with the Raven Film Center?

Years ago the Raven Theater and the Film Center were owned by the same corporation and run as a five-screen movie complex, thus the similarity in the names. In 2005, the Healdsburg Performing Arts Theater (H-PAT) purchased the Raven Theater to operate as a live venue for the performing arts. There is no longer any connection between the two venues except the name.

Will the Raven ever show films?

The Raven owns a jumbo movie screen and a high-resolution video projector for special events such as independent movie screenings, classic movie presentations, concert backdrops, educational programs, and other community support activities. We do not anticipate showing current movies that compete with Raven Film Center offerings.

Do you offer group discounts?

Generally no, but individual promoters may choose to offer them for individual events. Raven Players do not offer group discounts.

Where can we dine before an event? Do you have an agreement with any restaurant for a discount?

Healdsburg is blessed with many good restaurants within two blocks of the Raven. Nearly two dozen great restaurants are within walking distance to the Raven. Many of the higher-end locales require reservations, so plan early! Check out your options here. Presently the Raven does not have a discount arrangement with any restaurant, nor are we aware of any restaurant that has early-bird or theater-specific dining menus.

How can I audition for a show?

See the latest Raven Players audition notice, and sign up to receive notices here.

How can I sign up as a volunteer for events?

If you are attending an event, you can sign-up with the house manager that evening. For more ways to sign up as a volunteer, visit the Volunteer Opportunities page of our website/p>

What kind of refreshments do you offer at the theater?

We have a complete concession stand that is capable of offering beer from local breweries, wines from local vintners, sodas and water. We also offer cookies, popcorn, candy and nuts. Individual promoters may ask us not to sell a specific item, for example the Raven Players asked us not to sell popcorn as it’s too noisy in the theater.
